Simple Seamed Stockinette Hat

Pattern: City Knits beginners project
Yarn: Cascade 220 in color 9453
Needles: Size 8 Addi Turbos
Comments: Well, I learned a lot with this project. Make 1 increase, k2t decrease, and how to matress stitch up a seam. It was slightly odd, using circular needles but not knitting in the round. If I were to do this again, I'd make it circular and save all the purling and seaming.
Ended up: I think I'm keeping this one. I'll force Terry to wear it sometimes.

Funky Scarf

Still waiting for a picture of it, but until Sherry sends me one, here's the "work in progress"...

funky scarf

Pattern: Fireworks scarf from Stitch'n'Bitch.
Yarn: 4 balls of Lion Brand Funky Fur in Stained Glass, knitted together with 1 ball Lion Brand Wool-Ease worsted weight in Blue Heather
Needles: Clover bamboo size 13
Comments: : Very fun to knit because of the yarn. The furry bits hide the obvious mistakes, which is both a good and a bad thing. It wasn't as easy to see where I'd gone wrong. The 4 balls weren't quite enough - it'd need a 5th in order to be long enough to wrap round my neck and hang down.
Ended up: Given to Sherry Panzer at SMAF. She's short and likes shorter scarves so it was perfect for her!
